Ready for new challenge after 10 years American Petroleum Institute CEO Jack Gerard One of the heaviest hitters in town is leaving his post this year, looking forward to "the next challenge."Jack Gerard, CEO of the $230 million-revenue American Petroleum Institute since 2008, said Jan. 17 that he would leave the group when his current five-year contract expires in August.
